Onboarding (first setup)

Onboarding is the first-time setup flow that helps you start working in Actualog in the right context:

  • as an individual expert,
  • or as a member of a company workspace.

Actualog has two parallel “worlds”:

  1. Company Workspace — where teams manage products, catalogs, imports, data assets, and permissions.
  2. Communities — where industry experts maintain shared taxonomy, attributes, facets, and governance rules.

Your first setup is about connecting your user account to the right workspace(s) and community(ies).

Two ways to start

1) Self-registration (any user)

You create a personal account and then:

2) Registration as a company employee (invitation)

Your organization invites you into a company workspace with a specific role. You accept the invitation and immediately get the correct access rights and workspace context.

  1. Create your account (email/password or sign-in provider)
  2. Confirm access / email (if required)
  3. Complete basic profile (real name, role, domain)
  4. Join a company workspace
    • accept an invitation, or
    • create a new company workspace (for small teams / pilots)
  5. Joincommunities
    • pick professional communities where you want to browse standards-based data and expert content
  6. Start working
    • create/import products,
    • link brands,
    • prepare catalogs,
    • upload documents and media.

What you will configure during onboarding

  • User identity: name, contact channels, languages
  • Workspace access: company, roles, invitations, permissions
  • Communities: discovery context, taxonomy rules, facet trees
  • Preferences: notifications, UI language, email settings

Tip: If your goal is operational product management, focus on Company Workspace first.
If your goal is standards/knowledge collaboration, focus on Communities first.
